There is a place not far away
Where all the people wait and pray
For the clouds to fill the sky
'Cause this land is dry,
This land is dry
She reaches down to wash his hands
But the water’s turned to sand
Where there's dirt was once a stream
All that's left is a dream,
Is a dream
Kneeling down, they pray for rain
Hoping to quench the scorched terrain
There's only one day until tomorrow
In this land of sorrow,
Sorrow
Praying for rain
Praying for rain
Praying for rain
No more time to ask for help
So they take upon themselves
Nothing left to do, but to pack
There's no turning back,
No turning back
Under the cover of the night
Clutching each other they take flight
Risking their all for a better tomorrow
This land of sorrow,
Sorrow
Praying for rain
Praying for rain
Praying for rain
I just, I just don't know why
I keep looking at the sky
I just, I just don't know why
I keep looking to the sky

The incredible sultry voice of Sacha should be familiar to heads around the world: it's been an incredible year for the songstress, having worked with IG Culture and Bugz in the Attic. She's been remixed by Jon Cutler and Wahoo, and has appeared on legendary labels such as Shelter and NRK. After their previous collaboration on Bingo Soul with "Peace of Heaven" last year, Sacha re-unites with Martino for her debut appearance on Soulstream Records.
Mostly known for his highly-respected 83 West remixes with partner Tyrone Solomon, Martino's original work is nothing to sleep on. Case in point: Praying for Rain. Martino raises the bar by demonstrating his versatile talents in rendering ravishing melodies, penning poignant lyrics, and bringing his formidable producing skills to bear in no less than eight different versions spanning the genres of jazz, to soulful and deep house.
Finally, world-renown DJ and producer Nick Holder registers his contributions to round up this stellar release with two decidedly left-field and entirely raw remixes, courtesy of DNH Records.
